Open source software is no longer for hobbyists, it is increasingly encroaching on the long-held territory of traditional closed-sourced vendors. We’ll look at the Open Source Barometer, a survey conducted using opt-in data provided by 35,000 Alfresco community members who were asked about their preferences in open source operating systems, application servers, databases, browsers and portals. Then we’ll spend some time looking at Alfresco’s Java-based open source alternative for document and web content management.
Please note that this event took place on Tuesday October 21, 2008 06:00 PM.
