Topic:The Seductions of Scala
Scala is a new, statically-typed language for the JVM. Its advantages over Java include a succinct syntax, an improved object model and full support for functional programming (FP). In this code-heavy talk, I’ll show why Scala is so seductive, how it can improve your productivity, and why it might replace Java as the de facto language for the JVM.
